Columbus Crew has announced that forward Zion Scarlett has received an international call-up from the Jamaica Under-20 National Team. He joins Jamaica to compete in the Concacaf Men’s U-20 Championship, which kicks off June 18 in Honduras.
The Reggae Boyz are part of Group D, and will face Costa Rica (June 18), Honduras (June 20) and Antigua & Barbuda (June 22). The top three teams in each group will advance to the Round of 16, where they will be joined by the four teams advancing from the 2021 CONCACAF U-20 Championship qualifying.
A product of the Crew Academy, Scarlett signed for Crew 2 on May 5 of this year and has made three appearances to date. Should the forward play in the tournament, it would mark his debut with Jamaica.
