Crew 2 earns point on the road against Rochester New York FC

On Friday night, Crew 2 traveled to face Rochester New York FC at Monroe Community College. The Black & Gold fought relentlessly throughout the match, keeping a clean sheet to claim a point on the road, but falling to the hosts 4-2 via shootouts from the penalty spot.

The first half saw Crew 2 pressing the action, with the visitors edging Rochester in possession while also registering seven shots while limiting the hosts to two shots.

The second half saw Rochester pour on the pressure, with goalkeeper Scott Brady making four saves to keep the game scoreless. Crew 2 created a few chances near the end, but ultimately was unable to break through.

With regulation time ending in a draw, the game went to shootouts from the penalty spot, marking the first time the Black & Gold participated in a shootout. Despite a valiant effort by Crew 2, Rochester won the shootout 4-2 to get the extra point.
