On Thursday, November 19th, the Columbus Crew and Rumpke united for America Recycles Day. Crew midfielder Cole Mrowka, goalkeeper Stanislav Lapkes, ambassador Frankie Hejduk, and Crew Cat led a team of volunteers in a community clean-up hosted at Avondale Elementary School to help the surrounding area and promote recycling awareness across Columbus. The group collected more than 20 bags of trash to be recycled.

“We are dedicated to serving the City of Columbus and Rumpke’s commitment to giving back to the community mirrors our own,” said Dan Lentz, Crew Vice President, Corporate Partnerships. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with them, help keep our city clean, and spread awareness about the importance of recycling.”
America Recycles Day is a national observance focused on encouraging recycling efforts across the country. For the past five years, the Crew and Rumpke have partnered on this day to help raise awareness about how recycling reduces waste, saves energy, and preserves valuable resources. The Crew proudly support Rumpke’s mission to deliver exceptional waste and recycling services while prioritizing safety and sustaining the environment.
