"I feel that I am very, very familiar. I’ve watched him (Gregg) from afar. I've always thought they were a really good team and I like that they move the ball very well."
On how he sees himself fitting in ...
"They’re on the ball. That’s how I like to play. I like to be on the ball and like create chances and I think it will be a great fit for me as an individual because that’s where I want to be. I want to be on the ball and create chances and help the team achieve the goal of winning matches."
On his attacking versatility ...
"I think my (versatility) will help a lot because I can play a number of positions to help the team. I think I will fit right into that. It might take awhile but hopefully it won’t take too long."
On his relationships with his new teammates ...
"I went to U.S. Men's National Team camp with Wil Trapp in January. He really impressed me at the U.S. camp. He was one of the best performers at the camp. He’s one guy I can’t wait to play with. He likes to be on the ball. I like to be on the ball and get touches and get others involved in the game. I’m really excited to play with him and all the other players as well."
On his Major League Soccer experience so far ...
"It’s been great. It has been everything I thought it was going to be before I signed, and then some. It was very exciting when I got going with training and playing week in and week out you gain a lot of experience. I’m really excited to have had that experience with Vancouver, and now with Columbus Crew SC as well. I’m excited to share my experience with the team."
On his rating as the fastest player in MLS (per FIFA 17) ....
"It’s really cool. All my friends play FIFA all the time. It was very exciting. It’s really cool, because I’m a big FIFA fan and I play all the time so its kind of rewarding that they added me as one of the fastest guys in the game."
On overcoming injuries ...
"My mom always talked to me about getting in shape to be the best. When the injuries came — they came at the wrong time — but it helped me grow and I learned a lot from that. I learned a lot from that and it made me a better player and a better person. So I think I had a lot of good people surrounding me and encouraging me and pushing me to be the best I could be and I thank those people throughout my injuries for helping me out.
On what he's looking forward to with Crew SC ...
"I can’t wait to see that stadium full. It’s an amazing stadium. It’s a winning team. Everybody wants to win. I was watching their last game against Portland and just the way the players carry themselves and their will to win was very impressive to me, and I want to be a part of that and going forward I want to be there to help them achieve their goals."
