COLUMBUS – Four Columbus Crew First Team players – goalkeeper Nicholas Hagen (Guatemala); midfielder Cole Mrowka (Philippines); and forwards Chase Adams (United States Under-19s) and Gonzalo Tapia (Chile) – have received call-ups to represent their nations during the September FIFA International Window. Additionally, Crew Academy players Jamil Danjaji, Gianmarco Di Noto, Immanuel Ewing and Prince Forfor were also selected to join their respective Youth National Teams.
Adams joins the U.S. U-19 Men’s National Team for a Sept. 24-Oct. 6 training camp in Spain, with matches against Wales on Sept. 29 at Banús Football Center, England on Oct. 2 at Marbella Football Center, and Norway on Oct. 5 back at the Banús Football Center. The Naperville, Ill., native played at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup and has 20 goals and three assists in 23 U.S. youth appearances. He became the third-youngest Homegrown signing in Club history on Jan. 7, made his First Team debut against the Richmond Kickers on April 15 and scored his first Crew goal against One Knoxville SC on April 29. With his goal against Charlotte FC on Aug. 15, he became the youngest goalscorer in Crew MLS history at 18 years, 120 days, and has added 10 goals in 20 MLS NEXT Pro appearances for Crew 2 this season.
Hagen and Guatemala took on Jamaica on Sept. 25 in the Concacaf Nations League Group Stage at Independence Park in Kingston and next host El Salvador on Sept. 28 at Estadio Manuel Felipe Carrera in Guatemala City. The 30-year-old has 59 appearances for Guatemala, including the 2021, 2023 and 2025 Concacaf Gold Cups and 2022 and 2026 World Cup Qualifying. In 2026, Hagen has made six appearances for the Crew, recording two clean sheets in U.S. Open Cup play and helping the Club reach its fourth Final. Since joining the Crew in 2024, he has recorded three clean sheets across all competitions.
Mrowka is representing the Philippines Men’s National Team at the FIFA ASEAN Cup in Indonesia and registered 11 minutes in their opening match of Group A of Division 1 against Vietnam on Sept. 26. The Philippines will take on Pakistan on Sept. 29 and Thailand on Oct. 2 to close out the group stage at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung. Mrowka has tallied one goal and one assist in seven matches for the Philippines. The fourth-youngest Homegrown signing in Club history (17 years, 334 days), Mrowka made his First Team debut against CF Montreal on May 15, 2024, and is the third-youngest player in Club history to do so (18 years, 39 days).
Tapia joins Chile for two international friendlies: vs. Canada on Sept. 26 at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario and vs. the United States on Sept. 29 at Energizer Park in St. Louis, Mo. Tapia has 12 caps, with three goals and two assists, since his senior debut against Bolivia on Sept. 10, 2024. He also represented Chile from the U-17 through U-23 levels, including the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he made four appearances (three starts) and recorded one goal and two assists. Since joining the Crew on Aug. 5, Tapia has made five regular season appearances (one start) and scored his first Crew goal against the Colorado Rapids on Sept. 5.
Di Noto, Ewing and Forfor join the U.S. U-17 MNT for a Sept. 24-Oct. 7 training camp in Spain as the team prepares for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar. The U-17s face the Republic of Ireland on Sept. 30 and Norway on Oct. 3 at Banús Football Center, followed by the Netherlands on Oct. 6 at La Quinta Football Center. Di Noto has started nine of 12 appearances for the Capybaras in 2026, while Forfor has made 14 appearances (seven starts) with two assists. Ewing has appeared in 15 MLS NEXT Pro matches for Crew 2 and earned MVP honors after helping the Crew Academy U18s win the MLS NEXT U19 Cup on May 31.
Danjaji is competing in the first U.S. U-17 MNT training camp for players born in 2010 from Sept. 21-Oct. 4 in Spain. Danjaji notched a goal in the U-17’s 4-1 win over Scotland on Sept. 26. The U-17s next face the Netherlands on Sept. 29, Belgium on Oct. 1, and France on Oct. 3. All the friendlies will take place at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia. This season, Danjaji has posted four goals in 15 MLS NEXT Pro matches and also helped the Crew Academy’s U18s lift their first MLS NEXT U19 Cup.
