The Cleveland State University graduate has served as Steve Clark's backup for most of the 2015 and 2016 seasons. By the final whistle, the goalkeeper had a six-save outing in a 3-2 loss to first-place New York Red Bulls.

Midfielder Cristian Martinez made his first MLS start (fourth appearance) on Sunday, October 16 against the Red Bulls. The Panama-native has scored one goal in his Crew SC and MLS career, which came on June 1, 2016 against Philadelphia Union. Just 19-years-old, Martinez was acquired by Crew SC via loan from Chorrillo FC on May 17, 2016. He has earned two caps for the Panama National Team and has captained the Panama Under-20 National Team.

Should he reach the milestone, he would join Brian McBride (62 goals, 45 assists for Columbus), Jeff Cunningham (64 goals, 44 assists), Guillermo Barros Schelotto (33 goals, 41 assists) and Federico Higuain (39 goals, 35 assists) in the 30-30 club.
