CREW SC LOSES 2-1 AGAINST THE COLORADO RAPIDS
On Saturday, June 3, the Black & Gold traveled to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to take on the Colorado Rapids. Federico Higuain opened the scoring by ring a shot past goalkeeper Zac McMath in the 61st minute after recieving a pass from Justin Meram. Kevin Doyle leveled for the Rapids in the 80th minute before Alan Gordon scored a header in the 86th minute to give the hosts the win.

CREW SC BEGINS 20TH LAMAR HUNT U.S. OPEN CUP RUN
Crew SC starts the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on the road against USL side FC Cincinnati in the Fourth Round at Nippert Stadium. This will be the first time that Crew SC takes on FCC in an official match. The Black & Gold have won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup once (2002) and have finished as runners-up twice (1998, 2010). This will be Crew SC’s 20th year competing for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

HIGUAIN MOVES TO 3RD IN CREW SC’S ALL-TIME SCORERS LIST
With his goal in the road contest against the Colorado Rapids (June 3), Federico Higuain moved past Stern John to take sole possession of third place on the list of all-time regular-season goal scorers for the Black & Gold. Since joining Crew SC in 2012, Higuain has registered 45 goals in 138 regular-season appearances (133 starts). The Argentine playmaker now sits behind only Jeff Cunningham (64 goals) and Brian McBride (62 goals). Through 15 appearances (all starts) in the 2017 MLS regular season, Federico Higuain has scored six goals and notched five assists.
AFFUL REACHES MILESTONE APPEARANCE
Defender Harrison Afful reached a milestone in Crew SC’s most recent contest against the Colorado Rapids (June 3), as he made his 50th regular-season appearance (49th start) for the club. The defender joined the club on July 30, 2015 and has registered three goals and five assists in that time. This year, Afful has made 11 regular-season appearances (10 starts) for the Black & Gold.
