On Friday, September 28th,as part of Kick Childhood Cancer Month, Columbus Crew SC staff partnered with NC4K to begin preparing for the holidays. Staff members sorted and organized items donated by Zulily in order to help prepare for NC4K’s Christmas event which provides their families with the opportunity to enjoy an evening filled with lots of holiday cheer along with the opportunity to complete some of their holiday shopping.
The children and their families are invited to shop the donated items which are featured within holiday themed gift shops. The mission of Nellie’s Champions For Kids is to ensure that no kid fights cancer alone by providing financial and emotional support for kids fighting cancer along with their families. NC4K strives to raise awareness of pediatric cancer and to create sparkle in the lives of their families and volunteers. This staff volunteer opportunity was a part of Crew SC’s Give Forward initiative presented by MAPFRE Insurance.
