COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew SC today announced that midfielder Artur underwent successful left wrist surgery on Monday and is expected to be sidelined for Crew SC’s upcoming three-match homestand (April 29–May 10). The procedure to repair a left distal radius fracture was performed by Dr. Marlo Van Steyn at Orthopedic One in Columbus, Ohio.
The midfielder is currently recovering in Columbus.
In 2017, his first campaign with the Black & Gold, Artur has made eight appearances (seven starts) and has recorded one assist. The Brazilian midfielder joined Crew SC on loan from Sao Paulo FC for the duration of the 2017 Major League Soccer season on February 13, 2017.
