COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew 2 announced today that it has signed forwards Nana Tuffour and Jordan Knight to MLS NEXT Pro professional contracts pending league and federation approval. Contract terms were not disclosed.
Tuffour, 18, joins Crew 2 from Avon Old Farms School. The Ghanaian forward spent the 2021 season with the South Bend Lions of USL League Two where he made 11 appearances while recording six goals and one assist. Tuffour is a product of Ghana’s Sporting Club Accra Academy.
Knight signs with the Club after playing for the Athlete Institute Football Club Academy in Canada.
Crew 2 kicks off the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro regular season on the road against Inter Miami CF II at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. ET. The match will be available via live stream on mlsnextpro.com. Ticketing information for the 2022 season will be announced at a later date.
