CELEBRATING FREEDOM | Crew players to wear special jerseys to commemorate Juneteenth

In partnership with Major League Soccer and Black Players for Change, Columbus Crew players will commemorate Juneteenth by wearing special jerseys on Saturday, June 19 against Chicago Fire FC, with a match-worn jersey auction to follow starting Monday, June 21.

All proceeds from the auction benefit the VoyceNow Foundation, a Columbus-based non-profit organization founded by former Crew players, Zack Steffen and Alex Crognale. VoyceNow is dedicated to providing resources and opportunities for minority and underserved youth in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio.

Supporters can visit mlsauctions.com starting Monday, June 21, to place bids through Monday, July 19.

This weekend, all MLS clubs will wear #Juneteenth-inspired numbers on their jerseys as we recognize this day that marks the effective end of slavery in the United States.

Game-worn jerseys from this weekend will also be auctioned off with proceeds benefitting organizations that support and uplift Black communities in markets of MLS teams.
