Soccer in Schools

About

In partnership with school districts, the program equips PE teachers with a standards-aligned curriculum, professional development training, video resources, and soccer equipment, that makes soccer fun, inclusive, and exciting for all students. Aligned with the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network, Soccer in Schools offers the opportunity for high-energy Crew experiences that motivate students to show up and stay active.

Program Features

Designed for grades 3–5

Three (3) units, each with 4 x 45-minute lessons focused on soccer fundamentals, ball mastery, and movement-based activities

Meets SHAPE America’s National PE Standards and supports Ohio’s PE Assessments

Curriculum includes Crew-themed content and incentives

Adaptable activities to support varying skill levels and physical needs

Includes a branded equipment toolkit and access to digital teaching materials

Soccer equipment available for qualifying schools

Opportunities for hands on professional development led by Crew staff

School Expectations

Submit Soccer in Schools In-take Form

Complete Soccer in Schools onboarding training (virtual and in-person available)

Required to teach at minimum one unit per school year to all grades 3-5 PE classes (additional units encouraged)

Submit annual pre/post student data

Complete a teacher feedback survey

If equipment is provided, school/district is responsible for pick-up

Crew Engagement Opportunities

Schools implementing the program may gain access to exclusive incentives, including:

Gym Class Takeover: All-school pep rally and soccer clinic led by the Crew.

Kickin’ It with Crew Cat: Crew Cat joins PE as the teacher’s assistant, helping lead warm-ups, demonstrations, and activities to keep students active and engaged.
