The Columbus Crew Foundation, a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was established to facilitate and fulfill the Crew’s charitable initiatives of championing soccer and education for all.
We believe that engaging in the global game of soccer improves academic outcomes, inspires healthy, active lifestyles and helps youth develop overall vital life and leadership skills. We are committed to growing youth soccer and inspiring future generations of our Crew community through creating accessibility and engagement opportunities for all.
In 2024, the Crew launched their Soccer in Schools program which focuses on providing a turnkey youth soccer model for physical education teachers that aims to prioritize soccer as an in-school physical activity. The implementation model aligns with curriculum standards and teaches the fundamentals of soccer while integrating activities that empower students to establish life-long healthy habits and create a strong alignment with Stay in the Game! Attendance Network.
Student success starts with attendance and engaged learning. Students who are absent from school miss important learning opportunities, which can be difficult, or even impossible to make up. The Columbus Crew is a part of the Stay in the Game! Network which is a collaboration with the Cleveland Browns Foundation, Proving Ground, and the Ohio Department of Education and aims to prioritize attendance by connecting its users to resources aimed at tackling chronic absenteeism.
The 50/50 raffle allows the Columbus Crew Foundation to raise funds to perform the critical work of expanding youth soccer and access to education.
