On Thursday, January 7, the final steel beam of the New Downtown Stadium was placed as part of a ceremonial event held in front of Club Ownership and media members.

The erection of the steel structure and canopy began on May 14 of this year, taking 238 days (7 months and 24 days) and 168,000 man-hours to complete. Over 4,700 pieces of steel – weighing 5,400 tons – make up the steel canopy and structure, with more than 68,000 bolts securing the beams in place.

Additionally, all the steel used was fabricated in the United States, taking over 100,000 man-hours.
