COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew SC announced Crew SC Brand Ambassador Frankie Hejduk, along with Crew SC Front office staff members and representatives from MAPFRE Insurance are set to assist with The Salvation Army in Central Ohio's Christmas Cheer event this week. The event runs as part of Crew SC’s Give Forward initiative, presented by MAPFRE Insurance.
Crew SC will help with what is Central Ohio's largest holiday toy and food distribution program. The annual event is set to distribute food and toys to local families in need.
The event is a continuation of the relationship between Crew SC and The Salvation Army in Central Ohio. Last week, Black & Gold front office employees volunteered in support of The Salvation Army in Central Ohio's Red Kettle Campaign by ringing bells at the front entrance of the Short North Kroger.
Founded in 1865, The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization that confronts poverty in all its forms, empowering the vulnerable to find dignity and hope through changed lives.
