Get to know Columbus Crew SC's newest acquisition, 29-year-old Portuguese midfielder Pedro Santos.

Santos brings eight years of professional experience to the Black & Gold, which includes playing in the Europa League. Santos joins Crew SC from Sporting Clube de Braga of Primeira Liga, Portugal’s First Division. Along with Santos, Federico Higuain and Jonathan Mensah, Crew SC now has three Designated Players on its roster with Santos becoming Crew SC's sixth-ever Designated Player.

Crew SC returns home to MAPFRE Stadium to host Bastian Schweinsteiger and the Chicago Fire on August 12 for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
