Columbus Crew SC is back at home to host the Vancouver Whitecaps for the only regular-season meeting between the two clubs at MAPFRE Stadium on Saturday evening. Before the battle between the East and West, here are three things to know about the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Scoring skid
In the last seven matches, the Whitecaps have found the back of the net just once. The lone goal was scored by Nicolas Mezquida nearly a month ago on August 12, when Vancouver lost 2-1 to the San Jose Earthquakes at home. It is certain that Whitecap standouts like Pedro Morales, Giles Barnes and Christian Bolanos will try to turn the scoring dry spell around as they head to Columbus on Saturday.

Robinson Suspension
The Caps will have to try to break its current eight-game winless streak in all competitions without their head coach Carl Robinson. Robinson will not be on the sidelines for Saturday evening's match due to an ejection in Vancouver's last match against the New York Red Bulls.
A little history
The Whitecaps are 2-1-0 at MAPFRE Stadium when facing the Black & Gold. The last time the two clubs met was more than a year ago on April 8, 2015, when Crew SC traveled north to BC Place and both teams walked away with a point in the 2-2 draw. Both Crew SC and Vancouver find themselves in similar positions in their respective conferences, making Saturday night's game vital in keeping playoff hopes alive.
