#NYvCLB: PREVIEW | MATCH NOTES | BERHALTER | JAHN | ASHE
Immediately following Thursday's 2-2 draw at the Chicago Fire behind Adam Jahn's brace, Columbus Crew SC faced a three-day turnaround before kicking off at the New York Red Bulls on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. But before kickoff from Red Bull Arena, here are three things to know about the Red Bulls:
Fireworks, guaranteed
The two sides are clashing for the second time this season and the sixth time in two seasons — including a memorable two-leg Eastern Conference Championship last year.
This year, Ola Kamara scored deep in stoppage time, pulling level after a Bradley Wright-Phillips goal earlier in the second half as the teams settled for a 1-1 draw June 25 at MAPFRE Stadium. In 2015, the Red Bulls won the lone league meeting at Red Bull Arena, a 2-1 win on Oct. 3, their first home win in the series since 2012. They split the two regular season meetings in Columbus, each winning by a 2-1 scoreline.
In the postseason and a thrilling Eastern Conference Championship a year ago, Crew SC won the first leg 2-0 at home before holding the Red Bulls to a 1-0 win in the return match at Red Bull Arena to advance to MLS Cup.
Home cookin'
The Red Bulls extended a 14 match undefeated run with a second straight victory, coming back for a 3-2 win against Philadelphia Union, on Oct. 1 at Red Bull Arena. Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his 21st goal of the season to maintain a tie for leadership in the MLS Golden Boot standings. He has goals in 11 of his last 13 games, dating back to July 24, with 12 total goals in that time.
League Leaders
The home side in Harrison, N.J., boasts league-leaders in assists, goals scored and shutouts within its Starting XI. Goalkeeper Luis Robles is tied for the league lead in wins this season, with 14; he also holds the league lead in shutouts with 10.
In the offensive third, Wright-Phillips is on a scoring tear to currently sit in a tie with cross-town rival David Villa in the Golden Boot race.
Feeding into Wright-Phillips' goal-scoring, midfielder Sacha Kljestan currently leads MLS in assists with 17 on the season. The next closest helper, Toronto's Sebastian Giovinco, trails Kljestan by four.
