LAST REGULAR-SEASON MEETING

The two sides last faced off on May 1 of this year, when the Crew traveled to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to face Montreal at DRV PNK Stadium. During the match, the two teams battled to a 0-0 draw. Goalkeeper Eloy Room recorded his second clean sheet of the MLS regular season and his fourth across all competitions, making three saves during the contest. Defender Vito Wormgoor started the match for the Crew, his first appearance for the Black & Gold after missing nearly 10 months to injury. 

CALEB PORTER NEARS 100 MLS REGULAR-SEASON VICTORIES 

Following the Black & Gold's 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls on September 14, Crew Head Coach Caleb Porter brought his all-time MLS regular-season total to 98 victories, and is now only two wins away from reaching the 100 victory mark. Porter joined MLS in 2013 and has since won two MLS Cups (2015 with Portland Timbers, 2020 with Columbus Crew) while posting a record of 98-83-72. Currently, there are only 10 other MLS head coaches in the League's history to win 100 or more regular-season matches. 

ZARDES APPROACHING GOALS AND APPEARANCES MILESTONES WITH THE CREW 

With his next appearance for the Black & Gold, forward Gyasi Zardes will make his 100th regular-season appearance for the Crew. Zardes has made 99 regular-season appearances (95 starts) since joining the Crew prior to the 2018 season. In addtion, Zardes has scored 49 goals with the Club and needs one more goal to reach 50 goals as a member of the Crew. Zardes is currently ranked fourth all-time in regular-season goals scored for the Crew. 

BERRY AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS IN GOALS PER 90 MINUTES

Through 26 weeks of MLS regular-season action, forward Miguel Berry currently has the second-highest goals per 90 minutes ratio among players appearing with 250 minutes of action or more, one of two players in the League to average over one goal per 90 minutes. Berry has played 400 minutes this year for the Crew, tallying five strikes - tied for the second-most goals on the team. 

NAGBE AND HAIRSTON: PASS MASTERS

Through 26 matches in the 2021 MLS regular season, midfielders Darlington Nagbe and Marlon Hairston are among the League leaders in passing accuracy among players who have attempted 100 or more passes. Nagbe has made 25 starts while completing 1,218 of his 1,282 attempted passes for a passing accuracy percentage of 95.01%, while Hairston has made 13 appearances and completed 442 of his 477 attempted passes for a passing accuracy percentage of 92.66%.
