LAST REGULAR-SEASON MEETING

On July 3 of this year, Columbus Crew hosted the New England Revolution in the Inaugural Match at Lower.com Field. The Revolution scored twice in the first half, with defender Tajon Buchanan opening the scoring in the 13th minute before forward Gustavo Bou made it 2-0 in the 30th minute. The Crew halved the deficit in the 39th minute through Gyasi Zardes, before an own goal from New England defender Andrew Farrell in the 69th minute forced a 2-2 result. 

A WINNING RECORD VS. NEW ENGLAND

The Black & Gold holds a winning record of 4-1-2 in its last seven meetings against the New England Revolution across all competitions – including two road victories – dating back to a 2-2 draw at home in 2018 (April 22).

TWO WINS AWAY FROM #100 FOR CALEB PORTER

Caleb Porter has won 98 MLS regular-season matches as a head coach and is only two victories away from becoming one of only 10 coaches to reach the 100 wins mark.

BERRY AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS IN GOALS PER 90 MINUTES 

Through 25 weeks of MLS regular-season action, forward Miguel Berry currently has the second-highest goals per 90 minutes ratio among players appearing with 250 minutes of action or more. Berry has played 330 minutes this year for the Crew, tallying five strikes - the second-most goals on the team. 

NAGBE FIRST IN PASSING ACCURACY OVER THE LAST DECADE 

Since the beginning of the 2011 MLS season, Darlington Nagbe's MLS rookie year, only 18 players have attempted 10,000 or more passes in regular-season action. In addition to being one of those 18 players, Nagbe leads the group in passing accuracy. Over than span, Nagbe has completed 11,640 of his 12,943 passes for a passing accuracy percentage of 89.93%. 

NAGBE AND HAIRSTON: PASS MASTERS 

Through 25 matches in the 2021 MLS regular season, midfielders Darlington Nagbe and Marlon Hairston are among the League leaders in passing accuracy among players who have attempted 100 or more passes. Nagbe has made 24 starts while completing 1178 of his 1240 attempted passes for a passing accuracy percentage of 95%, while Hairston has made 12 appearances and completed 414 of his 448 attempted passes for a passing accuracy percentage of 92.41%.
