Columbus Crew SC hosts the LA Galaxy on Wednesday night at MAPFRE Stadium. This will be the only meeting this season between the cross-conference rivals. The match is set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.

This will be the 42nd regular-season meeting of all time. The Black & Gold currently hold a 16-15-10 overall record against the Galaxy. Crew SC has also scored a total of 56 goals against LA all-time.
The last time Crew SC and the Galaxy faced-off the Black & Gold fell 2-1 at StubHub Center on September 4, 2016. LA took the lead with two late second-half goals before Crew SC’s Adam Jahn denied them a shutout in the second minute of stoppage time.
The Black & Gold are entering this week’s midweek match fifth in Eastern Conference whereas their Western Conference counterparts are sitting in ninth and fresh off a bye-week. The Galaxy enter the match without Designated Players Giovani Dos Santos and Jermaine Jones, and their former captain, Jelle Van Damme, who they just transferred to Royal Antwerp FC last Friday.
The Black & Gold will return home on Wednesday, August 23 to kick off a three-game home stand when they face the LA Galaxy in what will be a 7:30 p.m. ET start at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus.
