After two consecutive victories at MAPFRE Stadium, Crew SC fell to the Seattle Sounders on Saturday. The Black & Gold produced a number of chances in the final third, but could not take advantage and find the back of the net in the 1-0 loss. With that being said, let’s see how the loss affected Crew SC's standings in this week’s MLS Power Rankings.

ESPN FC moved the Black & Gold down four spots this week, from 12th to 16th. “Crew SC have shown some signs of life in recent weeks but came out flat again against the Sounders in Seattle,” ESPN FC says.

MLSsoccer.com says that the loss to the Sounders “let some air out of the balloon”, and that the next three of four matches being at home “could prove to be a make-or-break stretch in terms of playoff hopes.” MLSsoccer.com dropped Crew SC four spots this week to 17th.

SI.com says “The Crew had multiple golden opportunities to bury the Sounders in Seattle.” But some “uncharacteristic misses” caused the Black & Gold to fall two spots to 15th this week.
