Lower.com Field The Place To Be For Holiday Weekend Fireworks On July 1 & 3

The Columbus Crew’s Lower.com Field continues to be a destination for residents and visitors across North America and will be a marquee spot for Independence Day weekend celebrations on July 1 and 3. A Sports Business Journal 2022 finalist for “Sports Facility of the Year,” the Crew’s modern and dynamic home located in Astor Park is set to celebrate its one-year anniversary in tandem with the Nation’s Independence Day, with Lower.com Field hosting fireworks viewing throughout the weekend.

July 1: CREW HOSTING IN-DEMAND SPOT FOR ELITE VIEWS OF “RED, WHITE & BOOM!”

On Friday, July 1, Lower.com Field is set to be an ideal destination for viewing the largest Independence Day celebration in the Midwest. Red, White & BOOM! is an experience and a tradition for more than 400,000 visitors across Central Ohio who come together each Independence Day to celebrate our country, our community and honor our military and veterans.

As part of the Red, White & BOOM! evening, the Crew is hosting a special viewing event and a limited number of tickets remain, with single tickets available for just $7. Four-ticket bundles, which include a prime parking location in the North Lot of Lower.com Field, are also available for $60. Supporters interested in securing a ticket or bundle for the event may do so via this link.

Ticketed guests at the July 1 event are permitted to bring in food and sealed, non-alcoholic beverages and will also have access to The Pub, which will be open and providing Independence Day favorites. Attendees will also enjoy yard games while awaiting the fireworks show from the Scioto Mile. More information on the event can be found here.

For ticketed patrons, the North Lot and Pub are slated to open at 2:00 p.m. ET. Entertainment on the Plaza will begin at 4:00 p.m. ET, while the fireworks show will light off at 10:00 p.m. ET.

July 3: CREW’S NEW HOME TURNS ONE AND LIGHTS UP THE SKY

Since opening its doors, Lower.com Field has hosted multiple world-class events including the 2021 Campeones Cup (September 29), two United States Men’s National Team’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Costa Rica (October 13, 2021) and El Salvador (January 27, 2022) and a U.S. Women’s National Team friendly against Uzbekistan (April 9, 2022).

Last year, the state-of-the-art venue was named the winner of the 2021 James B. Recchie Design Award by Columbus Landmarks, as well as the winner of the 2021 Harrison W. Smith Award by the Columbus Downtown Commission.

The Black & Gold’s most recent match at Lower.com Field saw the venue host a sold-out crowd of 20,446 supporters in attendance as the Crew faced expansion side Charlotte FC.

On Sunday, July 3, Lower.com Field will celebrate its first year when it hosts Eastern Conference rivals Philadelphia Union [7:30 p.m. ET / Bally Sports Great Lakes, Bally Sports App / 97.1 The Fan, 971the Fan.com (English); ColumbusCrew.com (Spanish)].

Supporters interested in purchasing single-match tickets for the July 3 match can take advantage of the Snapback Hat Pack, which includes a match ticket and Crew hat. The Snapback Hat Pack, which includes different seating options, can be purchased by clicking on this link.

On July 3, the Pub at Lower.com Field is set to open at 5:24 p.m. ET, 96 minutes prior to the stadium gates opening for fans with tickets to the match. Supporters can enjoy a 96-minute happy hour with food and drink specials.

The activities in the Community Plaza are set to include balloon animals and a photo booth, which will feature birthday hats as props to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Lower.com Field opening.

Shortly after the conclusion of the match, once the players have cleared the field, a fireworks display presented by Lower.com is set to take place at Lower.com Field. Following the fireworks show, the Crew will host Plaza Palooza, presented by Lower.com. The event, free to those in attendance at the match, is set to feature a live band playing in the Community Plaza.
