International Update: George, Francis' squads victorious

Kevan George's Trinidad and Tobago continues its seige on Group A at the 2014 Caribbean Cup, beating French Guiana by a final score of 4-2 to maintain first place in the group. Kevin Molino bagged a brace for the Soca Warriors, with Lester Peltier and Ataullah Guerra contributing with goals as well.

The victory for Trinidad and Tobago ensures that the side will finish no worse than second place in its group, which also guarantees the Soca Warriors qualification for the 2015 Gold Cup. George did not make an appearance in the match for Trinidad and Tobago.

Additionally, Waylon Francis' Costa Rica edged out a thriller in an international friendly against Uruguay. Playing in Uruguay's capital of Montevideo, the Ticos drew 3-3 after fulltime, but won on penalties by a final count of 7-6.

Both sides brought fully loaded squads in for the friendly, with former Crew defender Giancarlo Gonzalez, Joel Campbell, Keylor Navas, Alvaro Saborio and Bryan Ruiz playing for Costa Rica. Likewise, Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Godin were among those featuring for Uruguay. Francis, who was in the squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, did not make an appearance in Thursday's friendly.
