The Columbus Crew SC Academy Under-17 side is heading down to Frisco, Texas, to compete in the Premier Division of the Generation adidas Cup, one of North America’s premier youth soccer tournaments, from April 13-20.

Overall, the tournament features 21 MLS U-17 teams in addition to a host of other clubs from around the world. Placed in the five-team Group C alongside CF Monterrey, Sporting KC, UMF Fjölnir, and the Vancouver Whitecaps, Crew SC will compete in five matches against teams from Group D, with the top team from each group advancing to the semifinals while various placement matches will be played out following the round-robin style competition (win = 3pts, PK shootout win = 2pts, PK shootout loss = 1pt, loss = 0pts).
All group stage matches are taking place at the Toyota Soccer Center, with the semifinals and finals being held at Toyota Stadium, home of FC Dallas.

Crew SC Academy opens play on April 13 against Liga MX side Deportivo Toluca FC, before rounding out group play against the Colorado Rapids and New England Revolution (April 14), United Soccer Academy Mount Pleasant (April 16), and the Philadelphia Union (April 17).
Updated group standings will be provided by Major League Soccer, and fans in the area can attend the games for free.
Meanwhile, the Crew are back in action on Saturday, April 6 as the Black & Gold host the New England Revolution at 7:30 p.m. ET at MAPFRE Stadium.
