The finalized transaction, agreed upon as part of the close of the 2019 primary transfer window, ensures Accam will remain a part of the Crew SC roster for the remainder of the 2019 season before joining Nashville ahead of its inaugural season in MLS. Crew SC initially acquired Accam from the Philadelphia Union on May 8 in exchange for $100,000 in Targeted Allocation Money, $400,000 in General Allocation Money and an International Roster Spot for the 2019 Major League Soccer season.

“As part of the several transactions at the close of the primary transfer window, this transaction not only benefits us for the 2019 season in having David a part of our attack on our roster, but it also allows us the long-term roster flexibility by restoring significant allocation money for future use,” said Crew SC President Tim Bezbatchenko.

Crew SC begins a stretch of two consecutive road matches against Western Conference opponents, beginning with a visit to Allianz Field to face Minnesota United on Saturday, May 18 [8:00 p.m. ET / SportsTime Ohio, FOX Sports GO (Stream) / 97.1 The Fan & TheFan.com (English);ColumbusCrewSC.com (Spanish)].
