Columbus Crew mutually agree to terminate Daniel Gazdag’s contract

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Crew and Daniel Gazdag have mutually agreed to terminate the midfielder’s contract. As a result of the buyout, Gazdag will no longer occupy a Designated Player spot on the Crew roster.  

Gazdag joined the Crew on April 11, 2025, from the Philadelphia Union and appeared in 43 regular season games over the course of two seasons, scoring seven goals and adding five assists.   

TRANSACTION: Columbus Crew mutually agree to terminate midfielder Daniel Gazdag’s contract and exercise buyout of the guaranteed contract, announced on Aug. 28, 2026.
