Columbus Crew celebrate Black & Gold Week ahead of 2026 home opener vs. Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, March 7

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Crew are launching their annual city-wide engagements ahead of Black & Gold Week, a week-long celebration building excitement prior to Crewsmas and the Club’s home opener against Chicago Fire FC at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field on Saturday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. [Apple TV / Alt 105.7 FM / iHeartRadio app (English); La Mega 103.1 FM, 107.1 FM / La Mega app (Spanish)].

To start the festivities, registration is now open for The Crew Movement, presented by OhioHealth. The daily movement initiative, which runs from Feb. 27-March 6, is designed to engage the entire city of Columbus in physical activity, with the goal of a combined 96,000 minutes of city-wide exercise each day during Black & Gold Week, regardless of their preferred activity and the exertion level needed. Individuals and groups wishing to participate can register and log their minutes each day at this link. Those who register will receive a 20% discount at the Crew Shop. Participants are encouraged to submit photos of themselves participating in the movement challenge wearing Crew gear. Each day, one participant will be chosen for a Club-themed prize with the chance to be featured on the Crew’s Instagram story.

During Black & Gold Week, the Club is teaming up with Columbus Recreation and Parks to proudly display Crew colors and passion with a community tifo decorating contest. This initiative engages 19 Community Centers across Columbus, inviting them to showcase their creativity and Crew pride by designing tifos that embody the spirit of Columbus and their unique neighborhoods. 

Each Community Center will compete for the ultimate bragging rights and a chance to win a personalized youth soccer field day for their center. The tifos will be highlighted at the home opener, where fans can join in the fun by voting at this link for their favorite design. Those who vote will be entered to win a custom Crafted for Excellence jersey. Paint for the contest will be supplied by Sherwin Williams.

Additionally, all Stay in the Game! Attendance Network All-Star Districts are invited to participate in the 12 Days of Crewsmas, presented by AEP and Bread Financial. The new initiative offers a fun and meaningful way to promote school attendance, Crew pride and community spirit, aligned with the Club’s efforts to combat chronic absenteeism and promote classroom engagement. 

During school days from Feb. 19-March 6, districts can join in daily activities focused on showing up, building healthy attendance habits and celebrating the Crew. Schools are encouraged to participate as often as they can. 

The Stay in the Game! Attendance Network works to campaign, connect and convene with experts and supporters to dramatically improve attendance for Ohio students. Through school celebrations, player visits, matchday experiences and creative incentives, the Crew are helping students see attendance as something worth celebrating and creating a positive impact that extends far beyond the classroom. Districts in the network have shown a decrease in chronic absenteeism up to 11% in one year.

Since its opening in July 2021, ScottsMiracle-Gro Field has been recognized as one of the best sports and entertainment venues in the country due to its fan-focused experiences and first-class amenities. Three new, elevated premium hospitality spaces will be available to supporters for the 2026 season. The upgrades align with the Black & Gold’s mission to deliver exceptional experiences for fans during matchdays and major events at the stadium year-round. 

Skyview Club: Located on the east side of the stadium, the Skyview Club will offer the best sightlines of the pitch in ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, paired with all-inclusive food and beverage to become one of the most sought-after premium experiences in Columbus. From inside the elevated Club space, fans will have an unobstructed view of the downtown skyline while enjoying a refined dining experience.

Northwest Lofts: Fans can stay fully connected to the game while enjoying luxurious accommodations in the Northwest Lofts. An extension of the Cenovus Energy Zones, the location offers premium outdoor seating with heated, air-conditioned racer-style seats to stay comfortable regardless of the weather conditions. The Northwest Lofts include beer, wine and soft drinks, in addition to a brand new, progressive three-course food experience for each match. Supporters also won’t miss a minute of the action on the pitch with access to dedicated servers and private restrooms. The Northwest Lofts will be available as private eight-person boxes or single seats in a shared space, allowing a vast array of fans to enjoy and customize their ideal gameday setup.

Patio 96: An extension of the Party Decks in the northwest corner of ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, Patio 96 provides extraordinary sightlines of the Crew in their Fortress. The seats include all-inclusive food and drink focused on stadium fare, beer, and soft drinks. Patio 96 will be highly desirable for a range of supporters, accommodating approximately 275 in total, and include its own concession stand and bathrooms. The top of the section also featured five private four-person tables.
