Columbus Crew announces call-ups for March FIFA international window 

COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew today announced that defender Milos Degenek, goalkeeper Eloy Room and midfielder Lucas Zelarayan have earned call-ups to join their respective national teams for the current March FIFA international window.

Milos Degenek

Degenek will join Australia for a pair of friendlies against Ecuador. The first match will be played on March 24 at CommBank Stadium in Sydney, with the second taking place on March 28 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. The defender has been capped 41 times for the Socceroos, most recently in the 2022 FIFA World Cup where he appeared in all four of Australia’s matches.

Eloy Room

Room and Curacao host Canada in a Concacaf Nations League Group Stage match on March 25 at Stadion Ergilio Hato in Willemstad, Curacao, and close out the window with an international friendly against 2022 World Cup champions Argentina at Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Room has earned 45 caps since making his international debut in a friendly against Trinidad & Tobago on June 5, 2015

Lucas Zelarayan

Zelarayan is slated to link up with the Armenia National Team for a 2024 European Championship Qualifier against Turkey on March 25, and a friendly against Cyprus on March 28. Both matches will take place at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan, Armenia. The Crew midfielder has been capped six times since making his international debut for Armenia on Sept. 24, 2021.
