Many have weighed in on the new badge. Nick Schwartz of USA Today’s For The Win believes that the new look is the best of all MLS Logos. Deadspin’s Kevin Draper believes that the new badge is an upgrade over the club’s previous shield.
One of the important aspects of the new badge is how it not only represents a more evolved direction in which the team is heading, it also pays homage to the club’s history and tradition. Chris Deville of Columbus Alive looks back at the only logo to represent the Columbus Crew in the team’s first eighteen years of existence.
