Black & Gold Bullets: January 26, 2015

Wil Trapp

Over the weekend, Wil Trapp was named to the U.S. Men’s National Team’s 23-man roster for the upcoming friendlies against Chile (January 28) and Ecuador (February 8). ColumbusCrewSC.com’s Cody Sharrett caught up with Trapp to discuss his experience in camp, his role in Jürgen Klinsmann’s system and a new rival in Toronto.

Although his time in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup came to a close early this morning, Justin Meram and his Iraq National Team teammates received the rock star treatment in Australia. Andrew King of MLSsoccer.com has more on Meram’s experience with the Lions of Mesopotamia.

Crew SC’s Romain Gall played a large part in the United States’ U-20 National Team’s qualification to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. Gall was named to the 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship’s Best XI. He also earned a share of the Golden Boot along with Mexico’s Hirving Lozano for his five goals in the competition.
