Dan Lock — Director of Player Development

Dan Lock serves as Director of Player Development for Crew Academy and Crew 2. Dan joined the Crew in June 2022.

Lock holds a USSF A License; French Federation (FFF) Elite Formation Coaching License and BSc Degree in Sports Science & Sport Development.

Prior to joining the Crew, Lock served as Academy Manager and U17 Head Coach at Charlotte FC from 2020 to 2022. He was responsible launching and leading the Charlotte FC Academy from it’s inaugural year in 2020. 

Before his time with Charlotte FC, Lock coached for Seattle Sounders FC Academy from 2016-2020. During his time at Sounders FC, he held several positions including the U-15 Head Coach, U17 Assistant Coach and U14-U13 Coach. Whilst on the coaching staff at Sounders FC, the Academy graduated numerous players to homegrown status with the 1st team and won several prestigious titles including the U17 USDA National Championship; U15 and U17 USDA West Division titles; the 2018 U17 Generation Adidas Cup Premier Division, and the 2019 U17 Generation Adidas Cup Championship Division.

From 2008-2016 Lock coached for 8 years in WA State. During his time in WA State, he held Director of Coaching Positions at WA based youth clubs Cascade FC and Seattle United, as well as a 2 year role for the Bellevue College Women’s Soccer program from 2014-2016, first serving as an Assistant Coach before being promoted to Head Coach in 2015. During his tenure with Bellevue, Lock lead the team to become the 2015 NWAC West Division Champions. Additionally, Lock coached on the WA State ODP program from 2016-2018.
