ACCAM NAMED TO MLSSOCCER.COM'S TEAM OF THE WEEK


Midfielder David Accam was named to MLSSoccer.com's Team of the Week following his performance in Saturday's match against the Montreal Impact. Accam played 74 minutes, scoring the game-winning goal and finishing the night with two shots (one on target), two tackles and five duels won. Accam is the sixth Crew SC player to be named to MLSSoccer.com's Team of the Week in 2019.

ACCAM NETS FIRST REGULAR-SEASON GOAL FOR CREW SC


David Accam recorded the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 2-1 home victory over the Montreal Impact. Accam’s goal came in the 46th minute when he connected on a cross from Pedro Santos. The forward’s goal marked his first regular-season tally with Crew SC since joining the Black & Gold on May 5. In 2019, Accam has made eight regular-season appearances (six starts) while registering one goal and one assist for Crew SC. Accam has made a combined total of 16 regular-season appearances (10 starts) during the 2019 regular-season, scoring five goals and providing three assists. To date, Accam has made 117 regular-season appearances (89 starts) registering 39 goals and 18 assists since joining MLS in 2015.



WILLIAMS SCORES SECOND GOAL OF 2019


Josh Williams recorded the first goal for Crew SC during the Club’s 2-1 home win against the Montreal Impact on Saturday. Williams’ goal came in the sixth minute when he headed in a free-kick from Wil Trapp. The defender’s goal marked his second goal of the 2019 regular season, with his previous goal coming during a home contest against the New England Revolution (April 6). In 2019, Williams has made 12 regular-season appearances (11 starts) while registering two goals. In all, Williams has made 158 regular-season appearances (138 starts) while registering nine goals and five assists for Crew SC.



SANTOS PROVIDES GAME-WINNING ASSIST AGAINST MONTREAL IMPACT


Pedro Santos provided the assist on David Accam’s 46th-minute goal during Saturday’s home contest against the Montreal Impact. Santos tallied the helper when he played a through ball for David Accam, after receiving a pass from Hector Jimenez. The assist was Santos’ third helper, as well as his third game-winning assist, of the 2019 regular season, with the Portuguese midfielder leading Crew SC in regular-season game-winning assists in 2019. This season, Santos has made 22 appearances (20 starts) while recording three assists in regular-season action. Since joining the Club in 2017, Santos has made 61 regular-season appearances (57 starts) providing 12 assists and recording six goals.


JIMENEZ REGISTERS ASSIST AGAINST THE MONTREAL IMPACT


Hector Jimenezprovided a secondary assist during Saturday’s 2-1 home victory over the Montreal Impact. Jimenez’s helper came in the 46th minute, when he passed the ball to Pedro Santos, who set up David Accam’s game-winning goal. This was Jimenez’s third assist of the 2019 regular season, to go along with his 21 appearances (21 starts) and one goal. Since joining the Black & Gold ahead of the 2014 season, Jimenez has made 123 regular-season appearances (84 starts) while recording two goals and 17 assists.


TRAPP MAKES 175TH REGULAR-SEASON APPEARANCE WITH CREW SC, TALLIES ASSIST


Midfielder Wil Trapp made his 175th regular-season appearance (171th start) for Crew SC in Saturday’s contest against the Montreal Impact. Trapp played the entire 90 minutes, registering 93 touches and attempting 74 passes - more than any other player on the field on the night - while finishing with a passing percentage of 90.5. A Crew SC Academy product, Trapp joined the Crew SC First Team on December 13, 2012. To date, he has made 171 starts while scoring two goals and providing 17 assists in regular-season action.


FRANCIS REACHES 100 REGULAR-SEASON APPEARANCES WITH THE CREW


Defender Waylon Francis recorded his 100th regular-season appearance (91st start) for Crew SC in Saturday’s contest against the Montreal Impact. Francis played 45 minutes, making two tackles, attempting two crosses, registering 30 touches and attempting 19 passes, while finishing with a passing percentage of 94.7. The defender originally played for Crew SC from 2014-2017 before rejoining the Black & Gold prior to the start of the 2019 season. In his 100 regular-season appearances, Francis has also recorded 18 assists for the Crew.

ROOM MAKES DEBUT FOR CREW SC


Goalkeeper Eloy Room recorded his first MLS and Crew SC regular-season appearance – as well as start – in Saturday’s home contest against the Montreal Impact. Room joined the Crew on July 5, 2019. Prior to joining the Black & Gold, Room played for PSV Eindhoven where he recorded 160 appearances (159 starts). At the international level, Room has earned 30 caps for the Curacao National Team, posting nine shutouts. Notably, Room is the first Curacaoan to play for Crew SC.
