COLUMBUS – MLS NEXT Pro today announced Columbus Crew 2’s 28-game schedule for the 2024 regular season. The 2022 MLS NEXT Pro champions and 2023 Eastern Conference champions, who are the only team in MLS NEXT Pro to win two consecutive Conference Titles, begin their campaign at home against New York Red Bulls II at Lower.com Field on Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m ET.
Supporters can secure their spot to all of Crew 2’s home matches with 2024 Crew 2 Season Tickets. Crew 2 season ticket packages are available for the affordable average prices of $7.50 per match for Crew First Team Season Ticket Members and $12 per contest for other fans.
Crew 2 single-match tickets will go on sale on Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. ET. In 2024, parking at Historic Crew Stadium will be available for $10 per car to be purchased upon arrival, while Lower.com Field parking will be able to be purchased through ParkMobile.
“It’s exciting that we know who we’re going to play and that we have some really good matchups coming up this year, as usual,” said Crew 2 General Manager Corey Wray. “We are looking forward to facing off with our opponents, seeing how they test us and make us respond, but we are largely focused on our group, the principles we hold and the way we want to play to help the players achieve their goals. Overall, we are really looking forward to this next six weeks of preseason to get ready for our first match.”
MLS NEXT Pro also announced that Crew 2 will be competing in a newly created division within the Eastern Conference, the Northeast Division. Previously competing in the Central Division, Crew 2 enters the new Northeast division in 2024 facing Atlanta United 2, Huntsville City FC, Inter Miami CF II, Orlando City B, Crown Legacy FC, Carolina Core FC, and Chattanooga FC.
The majority of Crew 2’s home matches will be played at Historic Crew Stadium which opened on May 15, 1999, as the first soccer specific stadium in the United States. Now, almost 25 years later, Historic Crew Stadium continues to serve as a destination that facilitates a love for the beautiful game of soccer. Historic Crew Stadium offers a family friendly atmosphere and a perfect activity for an enjoyable Sunday afternoon with many matches kicking off in the late afternoon. Historic Crew Stadium also hosts various OHSAA games, concerts, music festivals and major events throughout the year, including Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival, Kenny Chesney: Sun Goes Down Tour, Buckeye Motorcycle and Music Rally, and more in 2024.
Four home matches this season are currently scheduled to be played at Lower.com Field, which opened on July 3, 2021, and previously hosted two MLS NEXT Pro Cups in 2022 and 2023 and serves as the home turf for all First Team home matches.
The Crew 2 schedule also features a School Day Game and Camp Day Game. These matches will be played midday to provide local students and youth players with the opportunity to attend the match on a field trip or see a match while with the Club for youth camp. The School Day Game is scheduled for May 15 at Lower.com Field against Orlando City B, while the Camp Day Game is on June 21 against Chicago Fire FC II at Historic Crew Stadium.
Other notable fixtures in the 2024 Crew 2 schedule are three ‘Heck is Plausible’ Derby matchups between Crew 2 and FC Cincinnati 2 this season, two of three taking place at home on May 12 (Lower.com Field) and July 21 (Historic Crew Stadium).
